SG Financial Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a leading modular building solution based on the outskirts of Beverley who are seeking a Factory Accountant to join them for a minimum of 9 months. Our client is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of modular building solutions, established over 50 years ago, they offer an exceptional service, producing and supplying innovative products within several different industries across hire and sale.

Our client has a fantastic reputation of being reliable and trustworthy, they are currently growing and development in many departments. Therefore, our client is currently seeking a Factory Accountant to join them on at least a 9-month period to support the financial department functions and the head through application of qualifications and experience to improve accuracy, speed and depth of reporting.

As the Factory Accountant you will report directly to the Financial Controller and support a small finance team, you will also work closely with different departments throughout the business.

As the Factory Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Review and process all direct labour purchase orders.
• Investigate labour and material overspends.
• Manage CIS scheme function and reporting
• Calculate Factory transfer values (Hire refurb and sales) from estimates including variations and recharge to the Divisions.
• Facilitate regular meetings with Production Manager or relevant team member to ensure full understanding of factory is maintained.
• Facilitate monthly meeting with Production Manager to discuss results before flash is submitted
• Prepare monthly flash report for Factory on prescribed timescales to meet deadlines.
• Monitor and analyse overhead spend in detail looking for cost saving opportunities
• Complete Factory balance sheet reconciliations within set deadline.
• Maintain back up records for all flash workings on the server.
• Produce all factory budgets and forecasts on a timely basis for review by the business on prescribed timescales to meet deadlines.
• Monitor, review and investigate stock levels (including second hand stores).
• Ensure capital expenditure claims are claimed and reported correctly.
• Continuous development of the factory reporting schedules to ensure timely and accurate information is supplied.
• Organise monthly factory CPR meetings

The ideal candidate will be AAT level 4 qualified or part qualified CIMA/ACCA, the candidate will be outgoing, analytical and dynamic, they will able to maintain professional and technical knowledge.
